This page will serve as a clearing house for information for our league volunteers.

First of all we love volunteers. 

Second, if you are a volunteer who will interact with the children directly, there are new requirements under the law requiring background checks.  All CVYRA coaches, referees, and board members will be required to provide proof of compliance with these new laws prior to the start of the season.  MORE INFORMATION will follow here in the coming weeks. 

Third:  We use Sports Connect (formerly Blue Sombrero) to organize league communications and finances.  All volunteers need to create an account under this site for us to be able to effectively communicate with you and for coaches to communicate with their team and others.  In years past we have not been able to use the website for some coaches and this has created poor or no communications. 

For volunteers with players in the program, please ensure that the correct email and other contact information is used at registration time-For example do not use your husband's email account if you wish to be a coach and receive direct communications from the league.  

For Volunteers without kids in the program, please follow the steps outlined below: 

o   Step 1 they enter typical credentials (email, user id, password, etc.)

o   Step 2 they will be prompted to select 3 options (parent registering kids, volunteer with no kids, registering themselves)

§  They pick the middle one; (it will actually be in the middle)

o   That will jump them to Step 3 (they select the Summer 2017 program); then hit the ‘View Roles’ button.

§  This gives them the various volunteer options

o   Step 4 finalizes everything ($0 charge)
